Be a MAN

They say, “Be a man...”
I say, “I am.”
‘What do you know about being one?’
‘Can you tell?’
‘Sure I can.’
‘Then do.’
‘A real man is noble, benevolent...
A good man he is...’
‘Where comes REAL man?’
‘Not all men are MEN...’
‘So why put two into one,
And who IS a real man?’...

Human dealings are timeless...
Human emotions are timeless...
And, timeless is the idea of being 'human' - truly...

*N.B.: Forgive me for using the term ‘men’ for human beings(individuals)in general.
P.S. Do Comment.

The Shower...

Sitting to study this morning...

I saw the winds blowing,
Leaves dancing in delight -
Caressed by the rain drops
Trickling off their face.

And, I heard the rain come down,
Its constant drone -
As it descended on the soil
And made mud-pools.
And, I felt the rain drops
Falling on my cheeks, split
Into thousands; encompassing
My face - giving its blessings.

 Here,             A drop traveled down
                            The length of a slant rope;

                        There,            Banana leaves embraced one another,
                         Dancing in sheer delight.

And I saw all.

And then, 'twas over...
Leaving behind water -
Water on earth, water inside soil,
On leaves and on my face -

...And I felt contended.

GOD... the Ultimate

Where all fails
There GOD hails,
Some say HE got crucified by nails...
Others preach HIS music ruled the vales...

HIM, we trust,
To please HIM, we fast;
HE happens to be the sole refuge –at last
Why not seek HIM first?

When all mortal associations fail
HIM –we then hail;
Of HIM, we sometime tell a tale,
Or, worshipping HIM, sit pale.

Yet still, questions linger...
To seek him is a journey afar -
Able to be traversed in no car –

Far up – beyond any star...

Rain...

It showered...
It showered petals of pearl...
It showered on us...
The pearls trickled down -
When 'twas over,
Carrying your glory on -
As a much-thought afterthought.
Trickled it down
From the blessed - leaves
On to the soil,
The perfumed soil.
To carry the blessings on -
On to the mortals...
In cupped hands, flowers and leaves,
It collects – again
It flows in streams
Rivers and waterfalls,
And it collects and it flows -
...The ambrosia of Life;
It doesn't rest;
Does Life do?
Nay, it doesn't,
And its transparent pal
Reflects that to us;
That we may know -
Life it is...
Endless, boundless,
Going on and on, and on...

RAIN-DROPS

Pitter-patter rain drops
Falling off the sky
Falling on the young crops -
For God knows why?
Days bygone send the smell
In drops of water,
Yellow is washed out well
And drained into the gutter,
The leaves look up
As if in thanks,
In roads forms a cup,
Water washing the banks;
If less, comes draught
If more, comes flood...
Rain it is -
On the run.

The darkness of Struggle

I saw a light. A light.
Light it was – unusual, un-lightly;
My eyes couldn’t see,
My heart could feel,
My mind could rejoice,
And soul was illuminated.
Light it was – not a jumble of photons,
But a waltz of words, whose vibe
Permeated all boundaries,
Sunk all resistance. But light
Couldn’t exist without a shadow:
Grave it was, deep and gloomy,
All that is dark merging into one,
Encompassing the umbra and penumbra;
Even light couldn’t ward it off.
For they co-existed. And a fearful
Combination they made, ever so likeable –
Light and dark – their directions were all,
And they created, and they destroyed;
The cycle uninterrupted…
